Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 stick(s) unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup(s) brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup(s) white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 2 cup(s) flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda

Instructions

Brown Butter & Mix Wet Ingredients

  1. Cook 2 sticks of unsalted butter on low heat until fat solids are brown and smells caramelized
  2. Add 2 tbsp heavy cream to butter
  3. Let cook to room temp (can use an ice bath)
  4. Add 3/4 cups of brown sugar and white sugar to butter
  5. Add 2 eggs and 1 tbsp vanilla extract

 

Dry Ingredients

  1. Mix 2 cups of flour, 2 tsp salt (1 tsp if Morton brand), 1 tsp baking soda
  2. Add wet to dry, chill mixture 12 hours before cooking (can scoop out cookies beforehand)

 

Bake

  1. Preheat oven to 350 deg and bake for 18-20 min (this time is way off for me, check cookies after 8 min)
