Brown Butter & Mix Wet Ingredients
- Cook 2 sticks of unsalted butter on low heat until fat solids are brown and smells caramelized
- Add 2 tbsp heavy cream to butter
- Let cook to room temp (can use an ice bath)
- Add 3/4 cups of brown sugar and white sugar to butter
- Add 2 eggs and 1 tbsp vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
- Mix 2 cups of flour, 2 tsp salt (1 tsp if Morton brand), 1 tsp baking soda
- Add wet to dry, chill mixture 12 hours before cooking (can scoop out cookies beforehand)
Bake
- Preheat oven to 350 deg and bake for 18-20 min (this time is way off for me, check cookies after 8 min)
